Storms of My Grandchildren, by James Hansen
James Hansen is Nasa's top climate scientist, and he's been calling for action on climate change for a long time. More recently, he's begun to put his personal freedom on the line as well, by engaging in stop coal protests in the US.
Some of this book makes for heavy reading (details on US political processes and academic publishing especially), but Hansen make a compelling case for leaving coal in the ground. If you want to get to the core of his argument, I recommend Chapter 9 "An Honest, Effective Path" where he runs through the no-coal argument in detail. -- Kevin
